Med Center Therapy has a technology proven to improve the quality of care for older adults because of the following functionalities of the program:
- Accurate assessment of fall risk
- Functional analysis of mobility
- Trend TUG time, fall risk, and frailty over time
- Track clinical fall risk factors
- Gait & mobility assessment
- Expert reports and notes for onward referral
The impact of a fall:
- 1
Physical injury - 2
Hospitalization - 3
Loss of independence - 4
Increased “fear of falling” - 5
Normal activity levels reduced - 6
Deteriorating health and fitness - 7
Social isolation, loneliness, and depression
Kinesis QTUG is an objective tool for identifying older adults at risk of falling. QTUG™ (Quantitative Timed Up and Go) is based on the Timed Up and Go test and is instrumented with wireless sensors placed on each leg. This technology provides a method for objective assessment of mobility, frailty and falls risk. It provides automatic analysis of patient data against reference values for patient’s age and gender with color coding to provide percentile scores for mobility and indicate deviations from normality. Watch the video below to learn more about the goal of Kinesis and how QTUG works to help prevent falls and increase mobility among older adults:
